I first picked up a paint brush when I helped my father paint our kitchen in the late 1970’s. I learned to paint during High School and started my first painting contracting business after working a few years with real craftsmen. Being near Boston, MA my business grew to specialize in refurbishing old colonials. We would strip off decades of paint, in some cases maybe a century of paint; then sand, prime and top coat. All the painting work was brushwork. This meant you were holding a paint can. It was always a challenge holding a paint can comfortably for a long time. I tried a few things but none worked well. After many years and many prototypes I came up with the Thumb Rung. I hope you like it as much as I do.
